Blossoms & Bacon Veterans Day Celebration on Nov. 7

Luther Williams Field will host the Rodney Atkins concert and fireworks show.

MACON – The Macon Bacon have partnered with the International Cherry Blossom Festival, Visit Macon and Macon-Bibb County on the Blossoms & Bacon Veterans Day Celebration on Sunday, Nov. 7.

“The Macon Bacon are proud to participate in this great event,” Bacon president Brandon Raphael said. “We are proud to celebrate veterans and active-duty military members and their service to our country.”

The celebration will begin with a Veterans Day Parade at 3 p.m. in downtown Macon. Following the parade, the festivities will move to Luther Williams Field for beer tastings, food trucks, a concert with Rodney Atkins and fireworks show.

“From 4-6 p.m., we’re going to have an amazing event lined up at Luther Williams Field,” Raphael added. “There will be food trucks, drinks and live music from Front Porch Radio. It will be an amazing event for everyone in attendance.”

The event is free of charge for everyone. You must pre-register for the event, which will include the entertainment from 4-6 p.m., the Rodney Atkins concert at 6 and fireworks at 7:30. Anyone can pre-register for the event by clicking here
