We have some terrific news for you.
The Macon Bacon are ramping up for our 2020 season. Just not quite as soon as we originally planned.
The Coastal Plain League has elected to postpone the start our season until July 1 to ensure the health and safety of our fans and players.
The Macon Bacon’s first home game will be Thursday, July 2.
To properly play this summer, we are following federal, state and local guidelines to ensure a safe, enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.
Because of those guidelines, we’ve had to make some changes to how our season will unfold.
TICKETS WILL BE HARDER TO GET
Due to social distancing guidelines, our seating capacity will be reduced this year from 3,300 to roughly 1,300 seats. Because we have already sold more than 1,000 ticket packages and thousands of group tickets, Macon Bacon tickets for this summer will be hard to come by.
If you don’t have tickets already, the best way to see your Macon Bacon is through our All-You-Can-Eat Five game plan.
You get five of the best games on the schedule, unlimited hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, soft drinks and cookies for each game. And, you’ll get two fireworks shows and other theme nights

Today, the ticket holders that have already committed to the 2020 season will be notified by email explaining the process on how our seating will work with the social distancing guidelines. Our ticket holders will be sent an appointment time that will take place in the very near future where our sales staff will contact them directly to discuss their seats and how their seat location will be affected. We created a fair and equitable program on how to prioritize those calls. Our existing ticket holders will have priority to select seats.
KEEPING THE BALLPARK CLEAN
Rest assured we are taking every precaution necessary in following government guidelines for health and safety including numerous extra steps for safe food service, contactless interaction for concessions and merchandise transactions, additional signage encouraging social distancing, hand sanitizers throughout the ballpark and extensive, regular cleaning of the bathrooms and common areas. We are committed to following all local, state and federal guidelines and those recommended by the CDC.
Like you, we are anxiously looking forward to our home opener on Thursday, July 2 and cheering on the Bacon to a hugely successful season.
