MACON, GA – The Macon Bacon brought Luther Williams Field to life back in 2018 with new areas, refurbished seating bowl/bathroom and other upgrades. In 2019, they added the Game On Training Kids Zone for kids to play during the game and the Plantation Rum Tiki Bar for the adults to cool off. Now, in 2020, they are planning on helping everyone cool off in the seating bowl. With approval from the Macon-Bibb County Commission, Luther Williams Field will be receiving large industrial fans in the seating bowl to help circulate air.
“This is an exciting day for us.” Said Team President Brandon Raphael, “We have listened to our fans when they say how hot it is at our games. These new fans should alleviate this issue and make the fan experience even better than it already is.”
Luther Williams Field will be receiving four large industrial fans throughout the seating bowl. With these fans, it will help circulate air and create a breeze to keep fans from getting to hot at the games.
“We cannot wait to see the look on our fans faces when they sit in the seating bowl and feel the difference from the large fans.” Said Raphael, “We are looking forward to partnering with Macon-Bibb County on this project.”
The project is expected to begin after the first of the year.
