MACON, Ga. – Following discussions with local officials, the Macon Bacon are pleased to announce that the team will open the 2021 season at 100 percent capacity for all seating locations at Luther Williams Field.
“The number one priority is the health and safety of our fans, staff, players and coaches,” Bacon president Brandon Raphael said. “We will continue to monitor developments and all necessary public health measures moving forward. We are thrilled to welcome our fans back to Luther Williams Field on May 28 with full capacity.”
Many of the health and safety measures from the 2020 season will remain in place for the upcoming campaign, including hand sanitizing stations. While not required, masks will be encouraged for fans.
In addition to hand sanitizing stations around the ballpark, the Bacon intend to continue social distancing in lines for concession stands and barriers between employees and fans ordering food.
The team also will be encouraging contactless payments at all places in the ballpark, including concession stands, the team store and the ticket box office.
Additionally, the Bacon are introducing mobile ordering for the 2021 season, which will include delivery options in certain seating sections of the stadium. Concession stand pick-up will also be available with mobile ordering.
