MACON – The Macon Bacon baseball team and Erthal Chiropractic have teamed up to host The Great Macon Bacon Race at Luther Williams Field on Saturday, May 22. The event will include a 5K and 1-mile fun run with all runners completing their respective courses inside the stadium.
The 5K will begin at 8 a.m., while the fun run is expected to kick off an hour later at 9. The fun run will include bacon-eating stations every quarter mile. The entire Macon Bacon crew will be on-site to run the event, which includes Kevin ‘the’ Bacon.
T-shirts will be provided for all participants who register prior to the early deadline of May 15. Prizes also will be awarded to the top finishers in each age group and top three finishers overall.
Participants may register online by clicking here. Adults who register for either the 5K or fun run will pay a $25 entry fee, while kids (12 and under) can register for the fun run for $15 ahead of the early deadline. Any participants who sign up after May 15 will be charged $30 for each of the races.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Warner Robins Chapter of Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB).
